Prince William and Princess Kate will be referred to by their little-known titles when they make an official visit to the Isle of Mull later this month.
The pair, who will be celebrating their 14th wedding anniversary at the same time as celebrating rural communities, will be referred by their Scottish titles.
This means that rather than being referred to as the Prince and Princess of Wales, they will be referred to as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay.
Whilst the royal visit will be of undoubted interest, greater focus is likely to be on William and Kate and their wedding anniversary.
The duo married on April 29th, 2011 in front of millions of people as Kate become the future Queen, but in recent months there has been a focus on their public dynamic following Kate’s recovery from cancer last year.
Speaking to the Mirror about how they were behaving towards each other, royal expert Jennie Bond said she had noticed a change.
She told the publication: “I think a turning point in how William and Catherine behave towards one another in public was the hugely emotional and very beautiful video she released announcing the end of her chemotherapy treatment.
“It was more personal and intimate than any film I've ever seen of the Royal Family. So, now that we all appreciate just how much they love one another and have seen how tender and tactile they are together, there’s no reason to be quite so formal when they are out in public these days.
"There’s also no doubt that something as shocking as a cancer diagnosis in your early 40s is a wake-up call to appreciate and show your love for the people who mean most to you.
“William has been Catherine’s absolute rock through the past brutal 15 months, and Catherine’s courage in facing up to her cancer has left him full of pride and admiration for the wife he adores.”
Jennie isn’t the only person to have commented on the pair’s renewed closeness in the past year. Body language expert Darren Stanton claimed to have spotted clues in how the royal duo are doing, reported the Scottish Daily Express.
Speaking after a royal visit to Wales, he said: “Kate seemed to be in very high spirits. They seemed to be quite close.
“We saw them being tactile with one another - which tells us they’re in a good place as a couple. We saw them display genuine smiles and every now and then, they shared intimate moments of glancing at each other while helping behind the counter.
“This suggests Kate and William are demonstrating true feelings of passion and love for each other. It’s shown how strong they are as a couple by putting on a united front.
“We've seen a fun and mischievous side of both of them come out quite naturally. This was shown through genuine moments of laughter and how relaxed their bodies were when they were around each other - as well as the public.”
